Behind the Scenes: Our Easter Tiered Tray Subscription Box!

Hello, crafty friends! 🌷 I'm so excited to share our March tiered tray subscription box with you all today! Our Easter-themed kit is finally in your hands, and I couldn't be more thrilled with how it turned out.

What I Packed in Your March Box

This month, I wanted to create something that would bring springtime cheer to your home, so I designed five adorable Easter-themed pieces:

  • A chocolate bunny complete with a "Bite Me" charm (I couldn't resist being a little cheeky!)

  • A vintage truck carrying colorful Easter eggs

  • A bundle of carrots with a "Bunny Bait" sign

  • A gumball machine filled with jellybeans

  • A "Happy Easter" sign that sits on the included easel

As always, your box includes everything you need: all wooden pieces pre-cut and ready to paint, a selection of spring colors, makeup sponges for easy application, E6000 glue, and this month I added some special wire-reinforced twine for those perfect finishing touches!

My Painting Tips for This Kit

When putting this kit together, I had so much fun playing with color! For the carrots, I recommend starting with an orange base, adding a touch of yellow in the center for highlighting, and a bit of red around the edges for dimension. When these colors blend while still wet, you'll get a gorgeous depth that makes your pieces look professionally painted.

The chocolate bunny looks best with two shades of brown to create that realistic chocolate effect. Just brush the darker brown around the edges and blend inward—no harsh lines!

The Polka Dot Triangle Trick

Here's a little painting secret I love to share: when creating polka dots (like on the carrots in this kit), think in triangles instead of rows! Place three dots in a triangle formation, then keep building triangles from there. This technique creates a much more natural-looking pattern than trying to make even rows. It's a game-changer for all your future crafts too!

Assembly Made Easy

I specifically included the wire-reinforced twine this month because it's perfect for attaching the little signs. It's thin enough for the delicate wooden pieces but still holds its shape beautifully when you tie a bow. Plus, it adds that perfect rustic farmhouse touch!

For the gumball machine, try alternating the jellybean colors as you glue them in. I found that creating a random pattern of yellows, pinks, blues, purples, and reds makes it look just like a real gumball machine!

Styling Your Finished Tray

Once all your pieces are painted and assembled, here's my top styling tip: add some greenery to fill in spaces on your tray! This really makes your painted pieces pop. You can use Easter grass, some faux eucalyptus, or even real greenery from your garden.

And don't forget to put your fluffy yellow chick (this month's bonus surprise!) somewhere on your tray. This little buddy is the perfect addition to your Easter display—isn't he the softest?!

Exciting News: April's Cinco de Mayo Box!

I'm already packing up next month's boxes, and I can't wait for you to see what's coming! April's kit will be completely different from anything we've done before: a Cinco de Mayo theme! Think bright, festive colors and fun pieces like a chip bowl and margarita-themed decorations. It's perfect for the May 5th celebration and adds something unique to your seasonal decor collection.
